Sept 14th 2008 Little Boo did great at his first show
We had a nice day at Riihimäki puppy show. Our little
Boo (Red Rhythm's Album Cover) started with a great result in puppies 5-7months
1HP, BOB-puppy and BIG-2 puppy!
Robi (RR All Alternative) did also nicely and was second in the class.

The judge fell in love with Lyyli (RR Amazing Grace), who won the
litlle girls class (5-7months).

Sept 8th 2008 From Russia with Love
We took a trip to Nevsky Winner 2008 at St. Petersburg, Russia.
Balou had great succes with the result
EXC1, CAC, Best Male, CACIB, BOS!
Balou also now holds the titles RKFW-08 and Nevsky Winner 2008.

Sept 1st 2008 Autumn Open Show at Laukaa
We attended the Irish setter society 'Punaiset ja Punavalkoiset irlanninsetterit'
Open Show at Laukaa. There were 18 irish red setter puppies in the show.
Our baby puppies were in the ring for the very first time and they all behaved like angels!
Lyyli showed herself with grace in baby puppies class (4-6 months).
She became second with the price of honour.
Judge Jacqueline Bayne, GB: "She's a little star! Oozes quality."

In the baby boys class Bosse became second, Eppu third and Robi
fourth with great critics.

Balou competed in the open class for the first time. For my surprise he was placed
second in the open class with CQ (CAC quality) and Best Male 4 among
over 30 male setters. Well done!

At the end of the day we competed in the breeders class. We left behind many
groups of adult setters and were placed 5th with HP.

Aug 28th 2008 Remaking the puppie plans
The ultra sound showed us that there will be no rhythm puppies this autumn.
Sadly enough. Thanks to Teija Parkko and Ari Kolsi (Kennel Kanelin) for trying so hard!
Aug 20th 2008 Birthdays and Best of Breeds
Balou (Kanelin Make The Cut) did great again at Heinola show last weekend.
He was in the intermediate class for the last time and the result is a nice
ending for the youngsters class.
EXC1, Best Dog 1, CAC and BOB!
And also Happy birthday to the 2-years-old Balou and all the
siblings in the Kanelin golf-litter!
Our dear Demo (Most Maroon's Millenium) is also turning 8 years next week.

Aug 4th 2008 We have a new Baltic Winner!
We had a succesful double show trip to Vilnius, Lithuania.
In Baltic Winner Show Balou did it and scored
BOB, CACIB, CAC, BIG-2 and received the title
BALTIC WINNER 2008!

The summer has gone fast, but lots of things have also been going on.
Iiris is mated with the handsome fellow Hemmo (Kanelin Key To Unique).

June 28th A-puppies on a visit
We had some of the A-pups on a visit. Here you can find some

We had a nice midsummer weekend at the summer cabin in Karkkila.
The boys spend most of the time in the lake.

At Forssa Show Balou won his class with EXCellent, was placed 3rd Best Dog

At Suolahti special show Balou did nicely and was placed first in his class
with EXCellent, 3rd Best Dog and received res CAC.

April 1st We have beautiful puppies!
Tessa and Chippen's puppies are born and we are filled with happines.
There are seven strong boys and one cute little girl in the puppy box.
Tessa is doing fine and the little ones are growing fast!

My dear boy Balou won the title 'Best Irish Setter Puppy 2007'!
The competition is based on succes in finnish shows.
We are so proud of this young man. Thank you Teija and Ari at kennel Kanelin!
Feb 27th 2008 Puppies on the way!
I am so happy to tell you that the ultra sound of Tessa showed
a whole bunch of puppies! So we are expecting little rhythm setters to
be born in the end of March. I hope everything goes well and that we'll have
a large and beautiful litter at home in just few weeks.
Tessa is beginning to add up some weight and she's becoming more and more lazy.
I'm sure she will make a good mother!

Feb 6th 2008 Showing, training and a little bit of love...
We spent a wonderful weekend in Turku at kennel Original winter gettogether.
On saturday we trained agility and obedience the whole day. The award
from har training was a nice sauna and a dip in a hot bath under the night stars.

For sunday we had arranged an irish setter Open show which gathered over
70 irish setters. Balou had a great day, he won the intermediate class
with honor price and became 3rd best dog!
Luca was placed 5th in the open class.
We have also travelled to Sweden with Tessa to see the handsome boy Chippen
and spend some romantic moments. Tessa and Chippen spread some love around
and now we're waiting eagerly to see if there are puppies on the way.

Tessa is in season and we are travelling to Sweden next week to meet

Jan 7th 2008 Balou's hip x-ray result!
What an amazing start for the year! Balou's hip x-ray was qualified
as HD:A/B in the Finnish Kennel Club!
A copy of the x-ray will soon be visible on this site too. We are so happy!
But usually when there is some good luck, there is also a bit of bad luck too.
The ultrasound of Iiris showed no puppies for her and Hemmo.
This means we are concentrating on Tessa's upcoming litter.

Oct 28th 2007 A great day at Lahti
What a day at Lahti INT show! Balou took me by surprise by scoring
EXC1, BEST DOG 2 and CAC amongst 47 irish red setters!
So our baby-Balou cut in line past twenty gorgeous adult dogs and became 2nd best dog.
Tessa wasn't left far behind, she scored EXC1, BEST BITCH 3 and CAC.

Luca also competed well in junior handler with Lilli.

The autumn is at it's best! Crispy weather attracts us to to take long walks.

We enjoyed a weekend in the countryside. The great weather made us
spend hours in the woods,

We refreshed our memory of the old show days with Demo by taking a stacking photo.
Demo has grown a fabulous coat from beeing practically bold and he is recovering from thyroid disease very well. That makes me so happy!

2007-9-2 Vantaa show
We spent a wet day at Vantaa show. There were about 30 irish setters
in the slippery grass ring. The judge Bo Wallin was very strict,
but my youngsters did really well.
Balou won the junior dogs with EXCellent.
Tessa did even better EXC1, Best Bitch 3 and CAC!
Here's the critic for everyone who knows swedish :)
"Utmärk huvud, hals, överlinje och svanssättning. Vacker utlinje med
mycket bra bröstkorg. Mycket välgående tik med utmärk, lovande helhet.
